Thetford is conveniently located on the A11 road between Norwich and London and at a junction of access roads, with King’s Lynn and Norfolk to the north and Cambridge and Ipswich to the south, each about 30 to 35 miles away. Breckland is one of the fastest growing areas in England, the population is 128,300 and is estimated to have grown by more than 12% since 1991, compared with a national average of 2.5%. Growth is predicted to increase by at least another 4.9% with a growing number of residents moving to the District mainly from Europe which is not reflected in census data.
